Robert James
A midlife career change took Robert from being a novice videographer to a burgeoning filmmaker that began with Film Production classes at City College San Francisco in 2009.
An internship with a documentary filmmaker quickly launched Robert first into production work on their projects and earned him screen credits before he co-directed, produced and wrote his own short film. Library of Dust went on to win numerous awards in major film festivals. After creating NuReality Productions based in Berkeley CA, Robert began work on a five-part series called The Night Minister that completed production after shooting for 6 years. Submarine Entertainment is co-producing and shopping networks currently. During this time, Robert also made his first feature documentary film, Ruminations about drag icon Rumi Missabu, which is playing in festivals currently. Robert is drawn toward provocative and edgy subjects. His films are all about artistic creation through stories of mental illness, sex & religion, gender identity and long-term AIDS survivors.
Nick Blond
Since moving from Humboldt County to the SF Bay Area in 2011, Nick Blond has worked as a freelance videographer, capturing commercial productions, corporate events, music videos, and editing a series of popular videos for the food company, Just Inc. Though focused on editing, Nick has worn many hats on a number of projects with NuReality Productions such as producing and editing Ruminations, a feature length documentary film. In addition to VERASPHERE: A Love Story in Costume, he is working on The Night Minister, an upcoming documentary series.
Rudy Behrens
Rudy Behrens is a Bay Area cinematographer and editor and VERASPHERE will be his second film with NuReality Productions, after Ruminations. Rudy loves working on projects like VERASPHERE, that focus on passionate weirdos that follow their vision through any extreme. He hopes to one day be such a figure himself.
